Black and white tile powder room

We are doing this black wainscoting in our powder room, would love your vote on the tile! It's 27 sq ft and we are putting a white pedestal sink. One is a lot more affordable the the other two lol Thanks!

I like #1. IMO #2 seems too modern for the traditional wainscoting.

I like them all, but much depends on if you're going for a more contemporary look or a more vintage look. If you want more up-to-date, I'd go with option #3, with the enlarged hex shape. The others are more traditional, but will work just fine.

I love how #1 pairs with the (beautiful) wainscoting. #3 is also beautiful but it seems a little too dramatic when imagined next to the walls.

#1. For small spaces the smaller pattern is better.

Thank you! And what do you guys think about gold/antique faucet? I know it's super trendy - skip this trend? Can also do matte black finish faucet and gold accents - mirror, toilet paper holder etc?

We ended up with the tile below which was more within our budget but still great quality. Already ordered the pedestal sink and black faucet (which I can change). or can I keep the back and pop gold with the accessories and mirror - like this:

That tile is beautiful! Post updates when you get started.

Thank you! Can i do black faucet with gold accessories or should I do gold faucet too?

Both the gold and the black faucets are trendy.

My feeling is you can never go wrong with a chrome faucet and then you can still mix metals for the mirror, etc.

You can do brass especially the dull brass for a powder room, but if you have exposed pipes they should match and I'm not sure that is available.

Thank you Beverly! I LOVE that middle one!

If I wanted to do a black faucet - can I do the mirror, toilet paper holder and towel hook dull brass?

I think you can mix the black faucet with brushed brass fixtures.

Just found this on sale at CB2 and I thought I would pass this along

Just make sure you work out all the fine details before you begin to place orders. Decide how a black faucet in front of a black wall will really appear or if the contrast of the brass would be better

Jamw923, love your choices! Where did you source the tile you eventually ended up with?

Thank you so much! Sorry I'm just seeing this! We selected it walking through Standard Tile in NJ (Totowa location) https://standardtilenj.com/

I think we reached peak brass about a year and a half ago. It was fresh with a touch of glam/drama in 2013/2014. Stick to chrome.

I think the brass/gold will make the bathroom pop. I have heard that black faucets are hard to keep looking new.

How did this bathroom turn out?

Read thru and saw the mentions of chrome. I HATE chrome. Completely. In the past, 4 homes we've built, I have never once put chrome in. We did the bronze in a couple of the past homes, in this one we are in now I did all brushed nickel or stainless, and the home we are building now will have some champagne gold and some brushed nickel. 'Definitely not chrome. I even went and looked at it again to see if it would appeal to me in person but nope. So, I hope you went with what you love! I'd like to see an after photos if you have it. Your final tile choice was very pretty!
