Can you shift your bed so that it is centered between the wall and the window trim?

Can you place the dresser on the wall opposite the bed so you can move the bed to the left?

where's the door to the room? could you post photos of the other side of the room?

For a start, if you need to keep the dresser, move the bed over and put the table on the other side of the bed.

Also, I'm guessing you need more storage. 86 the tables and change to bachelor chests on either side of the bed.

We moved the bed per suggested , looks much better so thank you all! Would you suggest centering the ceiling fan over the bed or leaving it centered in the room? We will be replacing it with just a fan (not a light fixture also)

Not a pro, but I'd leave the fan positioned where it is. And I like the idea of having heftier nightstands that can double as storage. Are you keeping your trim and closet door colors? A nice soft white, soft green or blue would be nice wall colors to complement it if you are not painting them.

How about angling the bed?

I would change the fan but leave it where it is. I would also get one with lights because even if you don't ordinarily use the light, there are times you need more light than from bedside lamps.

LOVE the idea of a white ceiling fan to sort of blend it in with the ceiling, never would have thought of that ! Also, we are going to be keeping the trim the honey oak, love the soft white idea for paint color .

Leave the fan where it is (replace with a white more current design). You are over thinking it. Concentrate on finishing the rest of the room. You have a very nice bed but your bed linens need a major revamp. And the furniture assortment looks a little like student housing. Once you have the rest of the room figured out, the fan won't matter.

We love the industrial style, mixed with some farmhouse, some traditional /antiques :) eventually we wanted to paint the walls white, do white shiplap on bed wall, find an old serpentine dresser and mount a tv above it , etc. Love all these ideas and tips ! So very helpful

Paint the doors and the trim the same colour as the walls to reduce/eliminate choppiness. Put a mirror the same size as the window on the other side of the bed, and put ceiling-height Roman shades about each. Put a chest of drawers (topped with a lamp) under the window and the mirror. Replace the current cluttered light/fan arrangement with a clean-lined white fan (NO LIGHT!!!).

I'd probably change all the wood accents to white (e.g. trim, door, closet, fan, etc.). you can just paint it and it won't be as jarring of a contrast. That's more of a personal preference though. If you like the wood, you can work around it like Grover mocked up.

I have that Minka fan in clear and I love it. I highly recommend. It has a light built in but I wouldn't rely on it as your only source of lighting. The fan comes in a lot of colors....

I agree with the others about the heavier night stands.

I'd also get some bed side lamps and window treatments.
