You're certainly not the only person in Oklahoma who has it. Honeyvine milkweed is particularly common in much of eastern, northeastern and central Oklahoma and people frequently post photos of it on our various OK Gardening FB pages seeking an ID for it. Some people like it and keep it in at least a part of their landscape because monarch caterpillars will feed on it. Others hate it because it can be quite invasive in some areas with great soil and plentiful rainfall. If I had it here at our place in extreme south-central OK, I'd be thrilled to have it, but we do not have the right soil or, most years, adequate rainfall to support it.

Rusti, I plant invasive vines on purpose because at least they survive the endlessly hot dry summers of southcentral OK. On our property I have planted trumpet creeper (lots and lots of the orange-flowered 'Madame Galens' in several different places and one of the yellow-flowered 'Flava',), and also 'Pink Lemonade' coral honeysuckle, which isn't invasive but certainly is fairly aggressive. I didn't have to plant Virginia creeper because we have it all over our acreage, and I know there is a little Japanese honeysuckle, probably bird-planted, deep in our 10-acre woodland where it does not, thankfully, get enough sunlight to spread and run rampant. Oh, and wisteria. I planted wisteria. On purpose.

Growing on our 8' tall veggie garden fence we always have lots of vines, mostly morning glories which have reseeded vigorously ever since I first planted them 20 years ago, but also cardinal climber, cypress vine and mina lobata. Some years we have black-eyed susan vines, but none of those popped up this spring. Some years I plant purple hyacinth bean vines and moonflower vines on the garden fence, but the deer tend to devour those. We have American Crossvine, though I wouldn't consider it invasive---it is a good, tough survivor that does better for me in hot, dry years than in wet ones.

I have more trouble with the reseeding annual vines giving us a billion seedlings we don't want each year than with the aggressively growing perennial vines, which I just prune back hard when they threaten to get out of control. While most of our acreage is wooded, the house is up on a bluff in full sun except for a few trees we've planted around it, so the rampantly-growing vines give us some shade in the summer and the hummingbirds love all the flowers.
