Dining room options for Colonial style home?

We are buying a 1910 Georgian Colonial home, and I'm wondering what kind of dining room table we should get (and dining room decor, in general). I prefer something along the lines of a reclaimed wood or farmhouse style table (rectangle, seats 8-10), but worried that might not look right in this style of house. Thanks
