Consider leaving the mirrors in place and setting shelving with a back in the nook in front of it.

Can you post a pic of the entire wall, floor to ceiling?

Thank you! Good idea! Here is a pic another pic.

Outdated mirrors and nothing about the huge hulking build out in the center??? I would not do anything until I was prepared to address and demo most of the wall.

Beverly, never thought of demoing most. Thanks for the input

mj B, am I wrong in assuming the center area was designed to receive the old projection TVs? Those TVs take up a lot of room. You can get a lot of space back and maybe add an electrical fireplace if you remodel the wall.

I believe so! Ewwww. Haha! We bought it like that and covered it up. I love your idea of the electrical fire place!

Lol I had that huge tv back in the day.

I agree, demo the whole wall. But in the meantime and for a quick fix I’d consider painting the entire thing, including shelves and doors, white, so it all blends together and doesn’t look as obtrusive. Just a thought.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking of changing the wall color to a soft warm white. Do you think one color would work? Like the same as the wall?

Yup, one nice white. Just be careful about the trim, either it has to match perfectly or be slightly darker.
