I agree about removing the curtains. They will block the radiator when closed (which they will need to be during naps, at night, etc.), and that seems like a bad idea. Replace them with shutters, cellular shades, or roman shades.

If there is room, I would rotate the crib. I think a rotated crib will help with the asymmetry issue. I would put a low bookshelf (roughly the height of the radiator) in between the radiator and the crib, and a piece of art in between the windows. A chair next to the radiator would finish off the room.

If you like the furniture on its current wall, I'd switch the crib and the dresser.

The windows will look better if you can add some balance in the room. To do so, switch the curtains for colorful roman shades. Angle a chair in the corner by the radiator. Choose a large rug, and center it on the windows rather than the room. Add colorful picture between the windows. The mountain mural should add weight to the left side of the room - if that doesn't work, add a tall bookcase (attach it to the wall please).

These are great ideas, thank you. I originally had the crib on the other wall but there is extra space on the right hand wall so I thought it made more sense. I was told by an interior designer to place cribs perpendicular to the wall instead of horizontal but now I’m second guessing it.

I agree to remove the curtains and rotate the crib. Treat the front/back of the crib (the slats) like a “headboard” - I think it would work well to put it horizontal on the same wall; the side of the crib should fit nicely (visually) in that extra space between the wall and window. Pull the crib in to the room (away from the window wall), though....better temperature control, and no risk of baby being able to reach/play with the blinds. Then I would move the changing table to the other long wall (left side of the room). Is there a closet?

I have no idea why a designer would think that but I agree the crib along that wall works better and cordless blinds are IMO the best choice for kids rooms . I love murals on kids walls with lots of color I also love stick onn decals so easy to change as the child grows just make sure they are not reachable from the crib or the floor.
