Is there a reason why the couch isn’t centered on the wall?

This is the way the room is configured. If we center the sectional on that wall there is no longer room for an end table and it reduces the room size by s foot.

Hi. I'd like to see more angles of the room. I might be able to suggest a better furniture arrangement. One example: you might try a console table with lamps and eliminate the end tables and use C tables. Or, you might be able to remove one seat from the sectional. Or, there might be a better furniture arrangement altogether.

If, for some reason, there are not other options, I would recommend an asymmetric decor over the sectional. For example, some African baskets.

Hard to say based on photos but I almost want to suggest rotating the sectional so that it goes where the arm chair/animal print bench are located with the L going onto the current wall.

Regardless, center the photo on the speakers.

The best bet would be in between the speakers like said above.

Overall, there is too much large, dark furniture in your space. If you could show photos of the other 3 walls, perhaps we could fix this.

That side of the chunky dark sectional is not centered on the wall, so it looks lopsided. Above the sectional are two upstairs openings with heavy molding. And then there are the two speakers.
Because the speakers are almost wall-colored and the two moldings upstairs are so so so big, I suggest you try centering your art under the right-hand molding and see how it looks. Centering a large canvas between the speakers may simply accentuate the heavy moldings. Then hang a somewhat smaller painting centered under the left-hand molding. A horizontal canvas may be easier to place than a vertical canvas.

I agree , center the couch and forget the end tables . Get a glass table that everyone can reach ..and center the painting on the wall ..move whatever is on the wall that could prevent centering the painting and move those switches lower so that noting interfere with you painting ...and enjoy !

P.s. Move the speakers higher and the thermostat lower ..

Moving a thermostat is not so easy. Just move the darn couch and center the dang pic. The wall speaker is absurd, who wants it blaring iN an ear? Ditch it, or suffer. or move it way up. MY GAWD,

Honestly, I cant help but wonder when "we" began confusing comfortable/attractive/cozy family tv rooms, with MAN CAVE BASEMENT deserving decor and sound. Beat me, but I just can't stand it, I miss Sophie.........lol She could have been beaten senseless for the identical sentiment.

Well, I’m not a pro but I have an opinion ;). I think your couch looks very comfy. I think your end tables take up too much space and it lookalike the narrow the flow-space/walking paths into the room. I’d agree with the pros that said using a coffee table would be fine, maybe a longer one in a lighter colour. As for your question about art, I think you could do either center or off-center and just ‘own it’! If it was my house, I’d probably go off -Center and cover one of the speakers. That said, if removing the end tables allows you to center the couch, then go for centered art.
