Calandrinia turning yellow

I'm not certain this is actually Calandrinia because the stems are well over 30 inches tall. We planted it in spring in San Fernando Valley during seasonal rain and it grew like gangbusters. It is on a twice weekly 5 min drip line. Gradually over the summer, it has turned more and more yellow around the base and I don't know if it is because of too much water or not enough (or other). It has been consistently over 90 degrees here and that makes me think it hasn't gotten enough water to establish roots but I don't know. Any advice? Thx
