Wait until your picture turns from faded to full color, then hit submit

You could pain the yellow part white and do a white and grey room. You could also add a wallpaper like the picture below and pain the rest of the room white.

It all depends on what you furniture is like. this is just basic advice. Send us a picture of the whole room with the furniture, then you’ll get better advice.

What does the bedding look like, and the floor?

On my screen, that yellow looks a bit too acidic to be calming. I could see it in a living room or entryway where you want a bit more zing and energy. Yellows can be hard to get right. Do you know the brand and colour name for this yellow? We can look at the manufacturer's selection and suggest something that's a little bit mellower if you want to stick with yellow.

IMO your bedding is chosen first then your color scheme. BTW I find gray bedrooms very calming.The 1 st one is even gray and yellow but the second one is one of my favorites

The curtains would be changed the flooring is orange dark wood and the bed has a white headboard.

Your yellow is the same as the one in my kitchen. Ha! Rare to see it mentioned on here. Well, that first pic lied. It's not acidic at all. This most recent picture helps, thanks. The headboard doesn't look white in this pic at all. It looks beige on my monitor. My advice to you is choose your bedding, then your wall colour. Paint all walls all the same colour, no accent wall. White curtains to match the headboard would give you flexibility.

What a coincidence!!!! The yellow is also in my kitchen and it looks great that's why I used it for my room but it doesn't have the same result...

... The headboard is leather beige /white but stained and tired after 10 plus years of having it, possibly i was thinking of cover it up...
