We hang them up to dry even though we don't reuse them. Then the next day they get thrown in the laundry basket when we get down a new towel to use that day.

Yep, use a new towel. I wipe down the shower stall with a towel after showering, so the towels do get really wet.

I don't change towels at every use. I "dry off" first with a wash cloth, wringing it several times into the shower drain, finish with a towel (which doesn't take much), squeegee the shower, then hang the towel over the shower stall. I have a ceiling fan in my somewhat-large master bathroom so I run it to help finish drying the shower stall and towel, and dissipate the moisture out of the room. I may use the same towel 4+ times, but majority of my drying is done with the wash cloth. No odors develop on either the wash cloth or towel. Both have a scent of the body wash that I use, moreso on the wash cloth of course.

Hang it up to dry and then throw it in the laundry basket. Same goes with wet kitchen towels, sweaty clothes from working out, ...

Shower towels get used at least twice and are hung to dry after each use so they're dry before put in the hamper, and we squeegee the shower after each use. Other wet cleaning towels or wet clothes are also hung on either a towel rack, shower curtain bar, or a hanger in the garage, so they don't mold in the hamper.

We reuse ours so they get hung up to dry.

We wipe most of the water off ourselves with our bare hands.

Using a squeegee to dry off your shower (or even a chamois that can be hung up) would probably save you a lot of laundry.

We always hang ours up to dry on towel bars mounted on the wall. To further stave off mildew, I have a small floor fan than runs for an hour or two. Our climate is humid, our bathroom does not have the best airflow, and we don't want musty towels.

Nothing is ever put into our laundry basket if it is damp or wet. That is just asking for mildew to grow. It happened to my husband's sweaty golf shirts (and ruined them) before he believed me.

we use a squeegee to wipe down the shower tile. Fast and easy.

I shower in the morning, hang the towel up on towel rod. 24 hours later, the towel is put in the laundry hamper to accumulate with other bath towels until I have a full load.

Looks like I need to change my habits and start hanging them to dry rather than tossing them in the laundry basket right away...

I also hang mine on a hook to dry before washing. I never squeegee my shower walls or glass, they always dry clean and clear.

We don't reuse towels. I found this great floor hanger in Home Goods. Its cute, bright blue, stands on the floor and holds 6 towels. When we come out of the shower the towel gets hung there to dry. I have two hooks next to the shower door which holds two clean towels.

I never take the towels on the floor hanger until they are dry. Which is about once a week.!

We live in Florida. If I ever put wet towels in the laundry room and let them sit, they'd be mildewed in one day. Never, never.

We reuse towels, hang on a bar after shower. They dry completely, don’t stink, and get washed after a few uses.

We reuse towels at least twice. We always hang them up between uses. Our towels can get a little funky between washes, especially washcloths.

I hang it on the back of a desk chair in my bedroom to dry. Take it with me back to the bathroom to use when I shower the next day.

I hang them on a rod to dry, and I do reuse towels.
