Metal base is supposed to be black. Doesn't look like it.

The finish is a matte dark brown rubbed so that the edges/corners of the base and the two flat uprights reveal a brass tone underneath.Please note Some color variation in photos of our furniture finishes, leathers and fabrics is possible due to lighting and differing resolution quality on computer devices.
