Peak Transmission of Mosquito-Borne Illness Extends Through September in Massachusetts:

• Mosquitoes and Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE): EEE virus activity has been detected in Barnstable, Bristol, Essex, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, and Worcester counties. Five human cases of EEE have been confirmed this year at the time this was written.
