Will the piece you're considering replace the white and brown piece next to your dresser? Before you consider another piece of furniture, have you purged everything you possibly can from your 'stuff'? It won't be a relaxing bedroom if it ends up looking like a furniture store. :/ That's a nice looking chair; I can understand wanting to reupholster it. Was it going to live in your bedroom?

I'd read up on Marie Kondo. Her special folding method helps organize and save space. Then, if you still need more storage, consider a tall wardrobe from Ikea.

I would do a whole wall of floor to ceiling cupboards and shelving and get rid of that low dresser. Hang the tv on the wall with the shelving or somewhere else.

Another possibility...bed risers. You could raise the bed, store off season clothing in the suitcases and keep underneath. There are some made of wood, which look better than the plastic ones.
