Emma's Star top is finished

I usually don't work with pastels, so this quilt is an exception for me. I had a bunch of pastel batik jelly roll strips that I had gotten in a scrap bag. I wanted to use some of them, and I thought this pattern might work. I like to try to keep a baby quilt at the ready. Seems like I'm always needing one. I decided not to trim and square up this quilt until after it was quilted. I ordered some minky in a cute animal print for the backing, and I found a very pale thread the color of the background to quilt it with. It's not one of my favorites, but I think it will be cute when it's finished. It reminds me of a basket of Easter eggs.
