Several years ago, this form of tree "care" came under much scrutiny and criticism for causing damage to valuable trees. Tree autopsies revealed the introduction and proliferation of system bacterial and fungal problems that the trees were unable to compartmentalize.

Sorry for the late reply, I must have missed the notification. They are called Acecaps. My tree is still unable to close up the wounds. I think those bullets are way too big for the size of my tree, even though my tree is way above the minimum diameter recommended by the manufacturer.
