Need help with floor plan. Family of 5 with younger kids but old enough for a spilt floor plan. Not ready to hire an architect.
Had plans of making nooks in master bedroom and bathroom a master shower but the plumbing stack is there. Kids share rooms so had idea of moving master bathroom to family room with bathroom. Currently have main bathroom and powder room in master. Possible make master bathroom toilet usable for company. Move laundry to hall closet replacing current master bath. Would relocate garage entrance in right back corner closer to current kitchen.
Kitchen needs to be redone also.
Want to open up kitchen to dinning room. But do not want a completely open floor plan. Ok to remove corner fireplace in family room. It is huge and takes up good space. Currently not usable wood burning.
Very tight when you enter front door and has a small and only coat closet in the house.
Willing to look at all suggestions.
Need fresh eyes to take a look.
