We are glad to see that you are interested in our Artezia 42" Reclaimed Teak Adjustable Coffee Table!

This table has a rod that affixes to the base of the table top, which is then threaded into the four-leg base where the crank mechanism is to adjust the height of the table. There is a small knob on one side of the base which can be turned to tighten against the rod connected to the top. This functions as a stopper/stabilizer for the piece because it helps to hold the table's height at the level you desire.

Though the table may have a slight wobble if you lean on the table top, but it is a sturdy piece and should work perfectly for card playing.
