Hello,

I recently posted my floor plan for review. I got so many helpful suggestions- including one I had not thought of, combing the laundry area and pantry into one large scullery (thanks Mrs.Pete!) After some soul searching, I realized I probably have plenty of room for most of my dry foods in the kitchen itself and likely don’t need this pantry. I was thinking of combining these two rooms, and simply having some type of floor to ceiling storage system/pantry along the kitchen wall for kitchen appliances/kitchen overflow storage/canning supplies. The front right corner of the room will need to accommodate a fridge that will be recessed a little bit into this room (shown in red).

In the opposite side of the room, I’d like to fit in a washer/dryer, dog wash and utility sink. Oh and ideally a deep freezer somewhere in the room. :) I know, tall order.

Here is where I’m having problems! For reasons that relate to the design of the basement and a retaining wall, the exterior door to this room can only be located on the far left of the two combined rooms (like shown) or to the far right. Not in the middle.

Despite my best efforts, I can’t make it fit. Does anyone have any layout ideas that might make this work? Dimensions would be 11‘6” x 9’4” (yes, a foot wider than shown here).
