We are planning to renovate and update our master bathroom very soon. I am hoping to get some feedback on some changes we are contemplating. Our floor plan is attached. We are thinking that we would like to remove the big tub in our ensuite and turn it into a big shower. We would need to take out the window in the bathroom and put in a smaller one. Then, we would expand the walk in closet portion of the master bedroom into where the small shower was in the ensuite and where the linen closet is. (We have another linen closet in the hallway). Does anyone see any issues with what we would like to do? We plan to be in the house for at least the next 15-20 years. However, I am curious what you all think about whether the current floor plan is better for resale value or whether a bigger walk-in shower and walk in closet with no master bathroom tub is better for re-sale? Finally, does anyone have any design ideas that I am not envisioning, particularly for expanding the walk-in closet?
