We had this where it even combined a 1/2 bath too all in one long room, a little over 5' wide by 25' long. We put 2 walls up so the pantry only has an entry through the kitchen. The mudroom/laundry are combined and have an exit to the garage and entry to kitchen several feet down from pantry. The 1/2 bath is also on its own now and the entry is around the corner in a hallway, not directly coming from kitchen. I felt like the pantry needed to be its own room, less dust etc.

That was all that I was worried about, maybe like a pocket door would be the best bet to make it more separate?

We added a mudroom/laundry/closet area onto our house in the garage. It's approximately 11x13. I would have liked to put the closet where the washer and dryer are and push them down to where the closet is, but the plumbing was already there from the washer and dryer already being in the garage.

I was able to finally add pictures. The curtained area to the left of the washer/dryer has floor to ceiling shelving. The curtain keeps dust to a minimum.

Is it also a pantry?

I use the closet, as an overflow pantry area for the stuff I've canned and for paper products. Behind the curtain are shelves, I believe the pantry is almost 3 feet deep. The curtain keeps dust to a minimum.

Perfect! I think that’s exactly what I want. We are remodeling the kitchen and I think I’m just going To reface the kitchen cabinet pantry that’s in there now and reuse that!
