Design Dilemma Exterior

Want to replace current brown roof with black...thoughts?

I live in Ontario, Canada, we are having our roof replaced in a couple of weeks and I think that I would like to go with black. Currently it is shades of brown. There is black in the brick (see pics), and black accents (lighting, garage door). The front door is a teal colour. I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Without even seeing it, I would not do black, but I would choose a "weathered wood" color. In my opinion "weathered wood" would work with just about any home color.

That would not be my choice. Yes it may melt some snow in the winter, but that melting may also lead to ice dams on the roof and that can cause leaks in the roof.

Any black on this house, including the garage door, is a bad call IMO.
