The tiles seem made to look hand made; so you'll want to be at 1/3 offset to avoid the hi-low spots. Your grout joint will be wider as well.

Thank you all! I'll search the site but what would you recommend for grout joint width with longer tiles like this in a fairly large space?

Check the tiles, there's usually recommended tile spacing and grout width from the manufacturer.

This is mine. I like it very much.

These are 3x12 honed Carrera marble tiles.

I prefer 1/2 or stacked to 1/3. I find 1/3 to be a bit busy to my eyes. Just a personal preference; I don’t think you can go wrong :)

1/3 vertical is kind of cool. if you want a bit more contemporary, this would be it

Handmade tile looks great at 1/2 offset. It shows the charm of the tile; especially in today's much sought after, modern farmhouse style. 1/3 is busier and hides imperfections in the tile edges. either is beautiful!!!!
