My d/w started to leak suddenly; turned out that there was a small crack in the interior wall. I suspect a family member caused it by trying to force fit a large roasting pan in.

Perhaps the installer accidently banged the side with a tool and made a small crack. Look carefully with a flashlight to see if you spot anything like that.

I had an old dishwasher that started leaking at bottom left at door. I figured out it was the detergent I was using that got too sudsy. No problems

since changing detergent.

This one is brand new. Literally two days. Stainless tub, so there's nothing to crack, but I will go look more closely. And I forgot to mention I use Finish Tablets as recommended, along with the drying agent.

Get the appliance company to come inspect it right away. There's a lot of factors it could be. Let them rule out defection, damage equipment, or plumbing damage or issues first. Once that is fixed, hopefully that will be it. If still problems, return before return date past. Time is ticking on returning, so get it done asap.

Oh believe me, @Business_Name_Placeholder I've already left a message! And I expect they'll be here first thing. It's a family run business and I work with them a lot--I am certain they will make it right. I'm just a problem-solver by nature, and can't figure it out. I mean, I have no intention of trying to fix it, but I was so surprised by how noisy the thing is. No way it's 44dB. It's almost laughable. But when the water started gushing out, it wasn't so funny anymore :-(

No advice on the leaking but for sure that Bosch should be all but silent.

Maybe it's missing a seal somewhere ...that would explain both the leak and the loud sound.

Thanks everyone. They did come and sort it out yesterday, with many apologies. Turns out it was tipped slightly and that prevented the door from sealing properly, which explains the noise and the leak. It’s close-to-silent now, though I do get a bit of gurgling at the sink drain, which I never had before.

A leaking dishwasher is a common problem. Dishwashers will leak due to a problem with the water inlet valve that isn't connected properly or just faulty, unfortunately these cannot be repaired and need to be replaced. There are times when the door seal is ripped or cracked and that would be the reason for the leaking dishwasher.

• Water Inlet Valve: The water inlet valve allows water to flow into the dishwasher. It can become stuck in the open position letting water to continue to flow.
• Wash Arm Assemblies: There is a lower wash arm, centre wash arm and upper wash arm assembly. These parts is where the water sprays out to clean your dishes. If there are any cracks in these arm assemblies then water may be spraying directly against the dishwasher door causing a leak. Check to make sure the wash arm assemblies are not loose by making sure all the screws are tight.
