The front of your house would look great with a covered porch across the whole width. That would shade your front door and all your front windows. Won't be a cheap fix though, would have to extend your existing roof and possibly change the pitch.

If the sun isn't beaming into your house all day long, this allows you to only have the blinds down when you need it.

Solar shades are the answer for windows they allow the view and control the heat and the damaging UV rays as for the front door a nice awning but IMO not that one.Some interesting landscaping would also be in the cards and a walkway to the front door from the street
