So beautiful! I’m so sorry about all of your critter woes. Do you think some cats may help chase them away? I adore all of your pinks! I’m heading more in that direction myself, but my plants are all still young. I especially like Potter and Moore!

Ingrid, I’ve never commented since you’ve been dealing with the devastation of your roses and other plants, I couldn’t find the words, but it has made me sad for you, and I’m hoping that things do begin to.improve. It’s still amazing to me how beautiful your roses are that are blooming, it’s all so lovely!

I was just thinking about you and your critters today and wondering how you've been. Your garden is still beautiful regardless of the rats and heat. I hope you get some fall rain and cool days.

It finally cooling off just enough here that the roses are beginning blooming nicely again and the tree frogs are showing up to sleep in the them during the day.

It is nice to see how in the midst of all this devastation there are blooms, however few to enjoy. Hoping next year is a lot better for you!

I'm so glad that you're all still continuing to see beauty in a landscape that is struggling, and I too hope for early rains that might help to put everything back into balance. Sultry, thank you for the precious picture you've put into my mind of the little frogs sleeping in the roses.

My weakness continues to increase, but we've had the blessing here of wonderful weather while so much of the country has been too hot or too cold. I hope that all of you in areas prone to wildfires will stay safe.

Perma, only the critters have shaped Le Vesuve by eating quite a bit of its insides, but fortunately it keeps growing from the top. I do plan to trim it slightly when it stops blooming in the winter.

I am so happy that my Le Vesuve starting to bloom as full and grew a little height after 2 years. one is bigger than the other by how it was spread. it takes forever to grow s l o w l y.
