I'm living in a rental with an unfinished basement with tons of space. It's got brick walls and flat concrete floors. I want to use the space for an extra den and make it more livable but am having trouble figuring out the best solution for flooring.

The space we want covered is 12'x17' but my budget is very limited since this is a temporary home. It doesn't need to cover the entire space as we have a large sectional that will cover a lot of the area, so I'd be fine with going as small as 10x14 or so...

Originally, I wanted to find a carpet remnant but don't have proper transportation for such a large piece of carpet and don't want to pay for shipping.

Other ideas included -

foam floor tiles in a faux wood with a rug on top?

Has anyone found anything super budget friendly and easily transportable to resolve this? My budget for flooring is around $150
