I'm currently faced with the same issue. I think I'm leaning towards leaving my chandelier centered to the room and swaging it. One reason is I agree with the person above and second I change my rooms around when I get tired and need change. At least this way, I have options. I personally don't like to be locked in. Sometimes change is needed and a change of furniture placement and/or paint change are the cheapest options! Hope that helped you. Good luck!

I would center it to the room and rotate the table 90 degrees. Also consider painting the ceiling a nice coppery/ gold.

Whatever you do the chandelier has to end up centered over the table. "Swag-ing" the light fixture over to the table probably won't look good unless the fixture is designed to be hung that way. I haven't seen your fixture, but I'm not sure a swag type chandelier exists that will go with the style of room your table and chairs suggest. If the fixture is hung somewhat off center to the room it won't be noticed but if it is off center to the table it will look like a mistake. I too am wondering if the table should turn 90 degrees.

And I think you mean "sconces." Scones are a delightful breakfast pastry and sconces are wall hung light fixtures. Did you post this at breakfast time?

The reason the table is in this direction is because this is the rooms longer measurement. And I meant scones. Who doesn't like a pastry treat within arms reach? Just kidding, sconces was what I meant.
