is this right?..someone (ken?) says Paul's Glory turns a wheat color in the fall..I have Paul's Glory tags but where are they??..another case of incorrect tags I think..I'd like to see a late fall pic of PG..

Nicholsworth, not sure what you mean when you said "I'd like to see a late fall pic of PG." Mine and gardencool's photos are photos in late fall.

The center turns white, whitish or creamy white in fall. The Hosta Library has one photo of a fall leaf.

newhostalady..I had the impression (maybe I'm wrong) the center is not just a creamy white but a bit darker..I'm not sure I've seen a pic of that..the information you show doesn't say the center turns a wheat color..I must have it wrong..

I think there may be variations on the coloring in the center. Maybe due to amount of sunlight?

I was looking for traits to find my Paul's Glory..I remember now a description called "parchment"..I thought this applied to Paul's Glory..but even comparing your pic with the creamy white center I don't seem to have PG in my garden..oh well..not a tragedy Lol..

Well that's frustrating when you think you have something and then can't find it! I guess you just have to put that on the list for purchasing next year LOL . . . . . . the ever growing wish list!

Disagree. It would be tragic if I didn't have one - most prolific grower - now I have six plus I have gifted them.

Not at home so don‘t have a pic but First Frost still looks amazing, still can see the blue.

gardencool..glad that you're happy with your six Paul's Glorys..I have lots of hosta and don't feel deprived..blues are my favorite..if I didn't have any blues that WOULD make me sad..

It’s surprising to see all of these hostas holding their color. Only my blues are at this time.

My Queen Josephine was decimated by the deer so I am excited to see yours, old dirt. Means there is hope for next year.

nw, I have to say I think first frost might be my favorite hosta. There are so many others that get mentioned by others but this one is just eye catching, from the minute it emerges...until it falls asleep...whenever that might be :)
