I would just caution that sometimes grays don't jibe well. Some can have a green undertone while other can have a lavender cast. If you've ruled out that possibility of if you're not sensitive to those kind of variations, I think you're good to go--and that backsplash is beautiful.

I understand wanting to have everything done before you move in, but in this case I would wait until you can see it all together. I think it will probably look great with a gray quartz counter (I don't like it with the granite shown; too busy and the color seems off) but as Ben's Bride notes, sometimes grays don't jibe well. If you wait, you can look at a sample board of the tile in your kitchen, with your counters, cabinets, and lighting. Then you'll know for sure.

If you are having doubts already, I would wait on the backsplash. Trust your gut. Backsplash can easily be done at a later date & you can choose something you adore than settle with limits. ;)

Go without the backsplash. Then try some
peel and stick wallpaper backsplash. Easy to remove, easy to clean.

And you can try any fun color combo without having to worry about the expense of changing it out later.

I think it will be beautiful. But for me the key word is think. I would have to wait until the countertop is in and make sure.

I like it. but, you'll prob save money and headaches by waiting until you move in and having it done then. this way you can take your time choosing something you really like. It's always best to see the countertop installed and use some samples to see how the coloring works out.

BTW, Seneca tile has this one that I love. I have a gray countertop and considering this one too (Glacier blend. And, you can adjust the blend amount or exclude colors)

What did you end up doing? My Cambria Ella is being installed Monday and I might use white Cloe tile but I'm not sure until I see the countertops. Cloe could end up being too busy or a different toned gray as mentioned above.
