Stair case design to new addition

We need design help for our new stairs leading up to the top floor. The issues is trying to make the area cohesive with our other stairs leading to the lower level. Would you use curved or floating stairs, or a landing? Pics below...photos taken from the foyer where a baby grand piano will be placed. And the rails/spindles will be replaced. Thanks in advance for any help.

Traditionally stairs are stacked over the lower ones in order to not waste space. Is that what your architect has done?

Thanks for your response. No, unfortunately, I can't seem to get the pics to upload. They are jpg, but when I click the submit tab, the screen just goes blank. I'm sorry, but it's hard to explain the configuration w/o pics. I'll keep trying though...
