Bathroom remodel

Looking to remodel my main full bathroom, which is used mostly by my children and occasional guests . I like that it has two sinks since it keeps my kids from fighting. I am not certain if I should put a vanity with the sinks, do hanging sinks or one big sink with two faucets. I want to remove all the tile on the wall and have wainscoting and am planning to do white oversized subway tile for the shower with an accent color. I have a gray accent color in master bath, was thinking to maybe do the same color scheme for this bathroom since I love the look of my master bath. Would you keep the colors and tiles the same for both bathrooms or make the accent tile in the shower and floor different colors? Thank you!

I have no decor advice but please get electrical cords out of sink area.

Thank you, I love the look of this too. Do you think that the vanity would be too close to the toilet, we only have about 48-50”. Here is a picture of the grey accent tile.

would you use this shower system for a bathtub? I have an extra unit and love it. Thank you!

That's not much room but 48" double vanity sinks are available.

Also, your photo didn't post. You have to wait until the photo is no longer grayed out then hit submit.

I generally don't like accent tile but this looks nice (and not dated). I would just try to incorporate the accent tile color into the vanity or at least be mindful of color coordination.

Here is your photo, rotated. Love the minions. Could you put a unit over the toilet for charging? Do two kids use the bathroom at the same time? I wonder if one of the sinks could be removed and the single sink located under the mirror. Then you might have room for a narrow check of drawers.

Thank you for rotating the photo. Currently there are no outlets in the bathroom, other then the ones on the lights next to the medicine cabinet. This bathroom is original to the house, it’s from the 50’s. Yes, they brush there teeth at the same time and often fight if they don’t have there own space.

Per code, you will need 15" between the edge of the vanity and the center of toilet. Knowing this measurement will be helpful when you are deciding on the size of a vanity.

There's a lot to be said for vintage tile and, as the saying goes - everything old is new again. Not sure if you would consider keeping the tile but I would.

Kristin I believe you meant to say there has to be 15” clear from center of toilet to anything on either side (wall or vanity edge etc.). Where I live it’s 18”. Your statement makes no sense having a distance of 15” from center of vanity to a toilet.

Thank you! I need to remember to post AFTER my morning coffee. I edited for clarity. The 15" measurement is code. The 18" measurement is recommended by NKBA standards.

I know that vintage is back in and if it was black and white I would not mind it but I’m not a fan of the blue. The bathtub area has separate hot and cold and the grout is in need of repair. I was thinking wainscoting on the walls, replace the old blue tub with a white tub and have large white subway tile inside the shower area that extends to the ceiling. This is how the shower area is now.

I’m uncertain if I should add an accent tile. There is a picture above of my master bath where I added a grey accent tile near the upper top of the shower. Was wondering if I should use the same grey or maybe a black? If so, would you place it where it is on my other shower or at the top? Also, the tile on the floor of this bathroom is very slippery when wet it has a gloss finish and I don’t like white tile on the floor since it shows a lot. any recommendation? Thanks
