There's a lot of furniture for the space. I think the back sideboard needs to go. There doesn't appear to be enough room for that walkway. I also think the two sofas are tight in the room. Is there a TV or is this just a sitting room? If its the later four chairs would fit the space much better.

Thank you so much for you help. I just brought the two sofas. I wish i had for advice sooner. I would have considered the 4 chairs. We are using it a sitting room. Again Thank you.

Should I change the art work to a mirror. And also what type of coffe table should i get. Willing to change somethings out. Look for more color and a rug.

Hi! What kind of style do you want to go? I feel like you added too much to this space. Why don't you try removing one of the sofas and changing the artwork in the back? If you use a smaller frame one it will help the room look bigger.

Can you do an "L" with the sofas?

Thank you all. Just now looking at messages. I will work on each suggestion. The expertise that you all have.....Is Amazing!

I think the tan paint makes it too much brown in the room - what about white? I also think the black fan doesn’t go with the color scheme, and a white fan, as minimalist as possible, would work better. And less furniture - I like the idea of removing one of the couches.

Everything you purchase is brown and wood.

Additionally, the brown of your sofa doesn't really work with the goldish wall color so there needs to be a diversion in the room.

This might be too much plum but you can see that at least it makes things more interesting in the room. Look at art glass as an accent for your room.

No mirror. That will only make things worse

Improve the lighting in the room by adding sconces, table laps or floor lamps...

What’s on the side where you’re taking the picture, can you put one couch there? As someone said above — in L shape

There's a lot of tan and brown which is outdated. I have a fireplace similar to yours and I feel like it needs a makeover. You could modernize your fireplace and make your fireplace wall a feature wall.

Beverly, this tuned a light bulb on in my head. How nice? Its really nice and beautiful. I'm trying to get my husband to add color to walls. Hoping I can convince him.
