Good luck with your tomatoes. Make sure they have lots of light, moisture, and protection from the wind. I don't have the problem of blazing hot sunshine when raising my seedlings, but I guess you have to protect them from that too - and from drying out.

ediej1209 I have 10 fabric pots and 6 tomato cages I bought from overseas so I will be planting one of all six varieties. If I can find someone to make 4 cages for me I will plant 4 more.

Come spring for you I will be the jealous one as the season ends for me lol. I love seed-starting too!

Labradors, the seedlings have been growing fast and a few days ago they started forming flowers so once all my potting soil arrives tomorrow I will be planting them in their final pots. I did not realize they would flower so quickly!

Now I am posting online free seedlings to give away as I have 18 extra seedlings that need a home. I hope I can give most of them away.

Those are nice looking seedlings, good and sturdy! If you think of it, from time to time post some updates. It might give me hope that winter truly will not last all year LOL! And I would be interested to hear which varieties did best for you and which ones you like the best (and the one is not necessarily the other - some of my most favorite tasting are the hardest things to grow!)

If you cannot find cages, perhaps bamboo stakes and string would keep them supported.

Labradors -I did go out and buy bamboo poles for now but am hoping on the next few days I can find someone to make cages for me before the new roots grow enough to get damaged by inserting support into the soil.

The first two pictures are the the final planting of my selections at the new house (long story short we have a new house almost ready to move in but we are in an apartment for the meantime) The one labeled with a question mark I had labled as Aunt Ruby's German Green but I apparently mislabeled it because it has the wrong leaves. So it is going to be a mystery tomato.

The third picture is on my balcony at the apartment and are the varieties Jennie and Brandywine Sudduth. Sadly the Brandywine is trying to recover from my accidentally ripping out half the roots while pulling it out of the small pot to transplant. If it doesn't recover I'll pull it and replace it with an Aunt Ruby's German Green.

I had ordered the 10, 20 gallon fabric pots on my local Amazon but didn't check them until I was going to use them and they are only 10 gallon.

I don't have time to wait for correct ones as they are coming from overseas so I looked in storage for fabric pots I bought years ago and found 45 gallon(3), 30 gallon(1), 20gallon(1) and decided to still use the 10 gallon ones just because I really want to grow at least 2 of each variety.

Arkansas Traveler is a lone variety because it is the only seed that sprouted. Oh yeah Aunt Ruby's German Green too because I mislabeled the other one lol
