Oh, that would be fun. Unfortunately we are not close neighbors, I'm about 50 miles north of Grand Rapids, so a couple of hours from you. A stepson lives in Holt, though, so we visit there, and another is in Jackson, so we go through Lansing on our way there. And we always stop at Horrock's, of course.

neen_5mi, are your jars coming out with a cloudy deposit on any of them that sit in the water? The whitish looking stuff in the photo might just be minerals from your water. That tends to deposit on jars as well. Some plain vinegar might remove it from the pot (and jars, too, of course.) If the more orangey looking stuff on the pot is iron from your water, I don't think vinegar will remove that, but maybe Zud or Bar Keeper's Friend would.

I'm thinking the All-Americans are aluminum and, hence, do not themselves rust, but can be a surface for minerals from your water to deposit on.
