There is no reason to make that decision now. What till you have more in place and then decide.

I think black would look out of place. Don't think you would care for it once it was done.

No reason to paint that black. There is detail a plenty and it has a major shape /size as a detail as well. The light color keeps it in proportion ...go w black and it will be totally overwhelming...you don't want that.

I agree with those who suggest waiting to decide. I also have found a number of photos on Houzz of projects that had black woodwork on windows and I was surprised that I liked it. So, it's definitely not a foregone conclusion to always go with white. It just depends.

Black windows are definitely on-trend and we're seeing many projects choose to paint existing interior wood windows black, as you described. Your windows appear to be SDL (simulated divided light) wood/clad which is an ideal option to paint/stain. Something to keep in mind is that renovations are most successful when they are cohesive with the rest of the house. I appreciate that you're considering how the window pairs with your existing black doors. Would you also replicate black windows in other adjacent spaces? That may help you with your answer.

I would need to see the rest of the spaces with the black doors but IMO the fact you are keeping the outside trim white I think it will look tacky .If those grids are removeable then remove them first to see if that helps .

Apply some black electrical tape on the window and see how you like it. It will give you a pretty accurate idea of how the paint will look.
