Absolutely love sliders. However if it's crittal style with many sight lines, I don't think sliding would work as when they are opened just a bit all the lines will start to go on top of each other etc and I just don't think it would look right. in this case I would say patio doors would be best

You can also get this style in a bifold if that would work for you

Whatever type/material you choose, remember: External doors and windows are not something to spare on. They will be there for decades to come, they keep you safe, warm/cool, etc. Save money on other finishes/items indoors.

I definitely think you should consider bi-folding doors as an option, they look lovely in crittal style and when open create a lovely indoor/outdoor space. You can also choose colour/frame width etc to ensure they fit your style expectations.

Thank you, the bi-folding do look nice but I'm not a huge fan on bi-folds, they take up a lot a space and seem to be not as popular these days as sliding doors etc?

Although they seem to take up a large chunk of wall space, when open they do create a seamless exit/entrance which is lovely. I'll attach a chart that is super helpful when looking at the space you have available for potential bifolds.

We don't offer crittal style on sliders, however we do offer it on french doors.

It overall depends what sort of opening would best suit your home and what you would like it to be used for. :)

Hi Katy. Do any of the sections open as windows? It looks as though there may be opening sections at the top left and right. Is that correct? We want to do similar but would like some sections that open just as windows. Look gorgeous by the way.

Yes the top side windows open, so 4 windows in total, only the double doors obviously don't have windows! Hope this helps :-)

The examples shown above don’t look anything like Crittal windows though. The whole essence of Crittal is their very fine mullions and transoms. If the metal isn’t thin but chunky the proportions are all out and then the effect is clunky - not like Crittal at all, they just look like any old windows coloured black. It’s all about proportion.

Well we couldn't afford crittal I'm afraid, we did get a quote, we are more than happy with these, just the look we were going for :-)

Katy, I think your windows look great! I love the symmetry with the roof lights and the upstairs windows and especially the fantastic roof light in the extension.
