Looking for advice on Chandelier for dining room, our ceiling is sloped and high. I have found two options so far. What are your opinions

    Option2?

Option 1. It has character and makes a statement that holds up to the logs. Option 2 is more a blend-in.

Wonderful room! I like option 1. You have a lot of curves in your room already (logs, window frame, chairs), I think option 2 is too much and looks to delicate with the thick timbers.

Really pretty. I would use a different finish for the chandelier in your room. Something lighter.

I wouldn’t use post style fixture for your configuration. Ones with plates on ceiling seldom work with angled ceilings. What are dimensions of your table?

IMO it would look more like this

Our table is 37.75” wide and 78” long

I have attached how we have current fixture, we needed to hook down ceiling slope approx 12” to center on table. I don’t think we can use down rods due to height and slope we may need to stick with chain fixture. From hook to top of current fixture it is 77”.. current fixture is 30” tall and 30” diameter

Yes, chains ot posts, but I just used the image of a lantern fixture that I could find that was straight on and not at an angle so you could see the appearance.

There are lots to choose from but you have to decide the finish.............not black in front of a black china cabinet IMO, Iron? and how long you want the fixture, and how many lights.

A professional electrician can take any chandelier fixture and create whatever length you need or want. Don’t let the wire length limit you to certain styles.

Here is great fixture with 120” chain and ability to hang on angled ceiling. I think it would be beautiful. On overstock.

What would you recommend for lighting on the knee wall to go with that? We have 3 lights on that side another 4 along the front and 2 on the opposite wall

I need to know space available for these additional lights but something like this could look cool.

Not a pro. Your room IMO is dark and heavy already, so I agree with Robby and Bev, no more black in there. I especially like Robby's suggestion, it is lighter in color and has a very slight almost wagon wheel feel, which goes nicely with your logs, yet it still has a touch of sophistication.

We have a ski home with log accents and went with a traditional iron chandelier as you pictured in your second picture right back at the beginning...it blends nicely, not a statement...it allows the logs to shine. Our sconces are slate backed glass ones from Hubbardton Forge..no longer made, but they have many other choices. They have become pricier over the years, but the catalog is good for inspiration.

Love groveraxle s’ s suggestion...or crazy awesome cut glass chandelier...everything else has been overdone...not that they’re bad, just a bit of a snore. So go with what you want and that makes you smile!

If I may contribute that I like groveraxle's chunky lights, like log chunks... and a very simple shape.

No. 2 has a bend / curve like your chairs, so I vote 2.
