basement kitchen advise

We are going to update our basement and need some advice on a bar/kitchen we are wanting to put in. Essentially we do not have the space to have a "bar counter" in addition to the kitchenette against the wall. The wall we are looking to have the kitchen area against is a longer wall with a window directly above where ideally the sync would go or at least the counter. The wall is on the longer side of the rectangle the basement area has. I'm worried that the kitchen might look "lost" against the wall as most pictures I see has the kitchen on its own wall or the bar countertop. Thoughts? We are planning on doing a wood-laminate floor on the entire space so not interested in using different flooring as a way to separate. The overall space is not all that large.

Post some images of the space and some dimensions on the floor plan. No one works from sketches like that.

Even though it's nice having a window over a sink. It is a basement. Not your main kitchen. To make the best use of your space I would put the kitchen on the end wall taking up the whole wall. It will give you the most counter and cabinet space. Who can't use more of both. It also will take up less usable space in the room and help make it feel larger giving you more options for furniture placement.

ya, i for sure could...although I think even moving the kitchen to the shorter wall will be too much cabinets/counter for the size of the room. I would still only probably want it to cover about 1/2 of the shorter wall and it will be easier (from a plumbing perspective) to put the plumbing under the window on that longer wall. I was just hoping for an idea of a cap or some type of cabinet on the edge to not make it look lost.
