Looks like even this Fallingwater (#3) is experiencing structural issues.

love the first little camper trailer.

So fun! That sweet camper with the flamingo really brought it, that’s what I’d want to make. The Palm Springs butterfly roof looked like something I’d end up with.

Very cool. Have you ever made a gingerbread house? They're REALLY, REALLY DIFFICULT, and I say this even though I'm an excellent baker /cake decorator.

I've had no less than 6 people leave this on my FB feed. Apparently I have a bit of a reputation. The last one I actually did was a church, complete with steeple, stained glass windows, and a light inside.

I DID have plans once to head for the National Gingerbread Championship with a friend, to do a gingerbread Arendelle. We couldn't coordinate schedules and gave up the idea. For now.

FWIW, the trick to a structurally sound gingerbread house (other than structurally sound gingerbread, of course) is to assemble with carmelized sugar, then just pipe the royal icing over it. It sets almost instantly, so there is no propping and it's much harder.

I don't QUITE have the motivation to make one this year. Mostly because that would involve a lot of shopping for candy decorations and more planning than I'm up for. But it's always fun to go a little out-of-the-box.

Holly if you ever decide to do the national competition, the Grove Park Inn is about 30 minutes from me and I hope you'll give a heads-up.

Nice CP! Now all we need is one of the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia! (inside joke).

We were at the Grove Park last December for my daughters surprise engagement (she and fiance' are getting married this December) and were able to see the Gingerbread Competition entries. Lot's of fun!!!

    Thanks for sharing these. ;)

ARG and cpartist, isn't the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia the Temple that started construction in 1866 and is not completed yet - still going strong and expected to be completed in 2026?

Denita that's the one. The "joke" is that my DH and I just got back from Spain and we got to see the Sagrada. Incredible architecture.

Oh, that is wonderful! Sounds like a well deserved vacation cpartist.

Oh, that is wonderful! Sounds like a well deserved vacation cpartist.

It was to celebrate a large birthday. 5 days in Barcelona, then 7 days on a cruise from Barcelona - Lisbon and then 12 days Lisbon - Fort Lauderdale. I'm not sure I deserved it, but I did enjoy it!
