Stunning!

i've only seen them once in bloom. they have a festival in Miami FL when they bloom.

They were planted in the 20's i think along the streets.

They're quite popular here where people have more room. They do tend to be a bit invasive though. My big tree has a dense thicket of small trees and saplings around it which I'm going to have to clear out sometime.

I also have what's often referred to (incorrectly) as "Yellow Poinciana" which flowers earlier but is likewise covered in flowers. Botanically it's in the same family but not related to the red Poinciana.
