Thanks, Sharon! I need to get away from that stitch & flip method, too. You can only use so many "bonus" triangles! Though if they are big enough I usually go ahead and sew a second seam in the corner to make an HST. But I have a really big collection of those now, too. :)

Donna, A big collection of HSTs is why I made a bunch of these blocks! I have 12 made so far. When I started, I would go through some HSTs, trim to size and separate the sizes I needed into baggies. Then when I felt like it, they'd be ready to make a block. 1 - 6 1/2" 7 - 3 1/2" and 20 - 2" makes a 12 1/2" unfinished block. She didn't use the same layout for each block so I didn't either. Just make sure the 'light' half is facing the same way.
