The update is fabulous and the newel posts are just right. Be proud of yourself. I've seen some really bad remodels here - yours is great. P.S. White dove is a great color.

You really did a fabulous job with this!! I love it.

They look good size. When the time comes, I'd get a multi color carpet on the stairs to give it better color. I mean just a subtle mix to give it a better blend of color with your wood.

C Marlin, that's a great idea! we'll probably do an oriental red-ish tones runner, when the time comes.

Your stairs are amazing!! I am envious as I have the same style casings as you HAD. I haven't liked them for 20 years but no way will I get DH to fix the eye sore. Congratulations!!
