Here's what Southern Live Oak can turn into. This was for the State Tall Ship of Massachusetts the "Ernestina Morrissey" which is currently going through a complete rebuild at Boothbay Harbor Shipyards in Maine. Our trees were obviously much bigger, but this is indicative of what they can grow into.....

The trees could be Escarpments Oaks. I was quite taken with them when I first moved here, and asked about them at The Natural Gardener. From my pictures, they identified them as Escarpement Oaks. You can't buy them to recreate them to look like these. These pictured most likely just grew from seed and the builder preserved them to give that "look". Also, in and around Austin has a lot of bedrock, which keeps them from becoming beautiful monster trees like live oaks tend to do. But oh my!! This property is EVERYTHING!

Can you share whether or not these windows are black or bronze?
