The slab has nothing to do with the fabricator... UNLESS you saw your slabs in person and requested and signed that they avoid the "spots" .

Thanks Jan. Honestly had I known would have gone with something else. Had Sparkling White quartz in another home and loved it. This not so much.

you could always try contacting them. there was another poster on here that had a splotchy pattern w/her Cambria. They replaced it for her. Doesn't hurt to ask. But it isn't the fabricators fault.

I've never had the problem with MSI. Just an fyi.

I have Cambria Highgate, and as you can see some white “spots” as well. Honestly it bothered me at first but after a while it didn’t. Nothing, even and especially real stone, is perfect and that becomes part of the charm.

By the way the product itself is wonderful, nothing bad to say at all. I’ve even caught the kids putting hot pans on it, and it’s held up just perfectly. I don’t baby it.

My sister in law had Cambria Summerhill in her previous home and had the same white spots. It seems like you see in more in Cambria's quartz vs other brands but I think this is inherent with quartz.

We just installed Britannica. It came with a handout saying the white spots are part of the look.

It's a feature, not a bug.

I’ve had marble, granite and other quartz. Nothing ever looked as flawed as this. After seeing pictures Cambira sending out a tech to try to repair. It also doesn’t feel like stone like other quartz I’ve had. It feels like a laminate counter with gloss.

What did Cambria do here, I'm curious as I have the same thing in Gladstone that was just installed. I don't love the spots but thought they are part of their quartz as I've seen it on others...

I was considering Cambria products for kitchen/bath products, but am disappointed to see so many complaints.. I guess i will not move forward with them....

That would be a mistake. Cambria is a premium engineered stone brand and they defend their brand like a momma bear. You have to look at Cambria's market share in comparison to their complaints and resolutions.Men get in a lot more car accidents than women, but we drive a lot more. Same thing.

The Federal Highway Administration reports that men drive an average of 16,550 miles each year. Women drive an average of 10,142 miles per year, demonstrating that women drive much less than men on average. When taken together, these statistics demonstrate that women drive 30% less than men do on an annual basis.

The accidents that men do cause tend to be more severe than female driving accidents mainly because men participate in riskier behaviors and DUI a lot more than women. (4 out of 5 to be exact) They also tend to drive while drowsy moreso than female drivers.

So while females drive a bit less (I wouldn't say men drive "a lot more") they report that their accidents may be caused by less experience and shorter stature, impeding visibility

Since they drive fewer miles, they have less experience with navigating the dangers of the roads. Women also tend to be shorter than men, and they may have more trouble seeing oncoming vehicles when they are completing turns because of visual obstacles. Previously, there was a larger gap between the accident risks among younger drivers. However, that gap has been closing as more girls are driving while they are distracted by their cell phones.

so, not quite sure why the male/female driving comparison in relation to Cambria's complaints, but at least one of the two is cleared up a bit more.
