IMO I think you need to make sure your furniture is positioned optimally prior to adding anything to the tv wall. Is that a fireplace that the sofa is sitting in front of? If so, is it possible to position the sofa so that it is not blocking the fireplace? Is that a table between the fireplace and the sofa?

If you do a little furniture rearranging you might find that the fireplace wall makes a better feature wall than the tv wall.

After possibly rearranging your furniture, I would next add color with drapes, pillows, a throw blanket, and artwork.

This might be a better arrangement but without seeing more photos it's really a shot in the dark.

Maybe put the tv over the fireplace. If you are blocking the fireplace because of a child then maybe add a screen to the opening, if it is indeed a fireplace.

Thank you so much. It is indeed a fireplace, we have rearranged the furniture as per suggestion and already there is a big difference.

Another option would be to back your couch and chair to the windows. Using the corner as a template for the furniture. That should give you room to put the TV next to the fireplace and face both. The ceiling lights make me wonder if the space was originally meant for both a 'living room' and a dining room?

I used Paint which is free and comes preloaded on most PC's. I sometimes also use Photoshop too. IMO Paint is a lot easier to master than Photoshop but is not nearly as powerful. The rendering above was done with Paint.

Is it easy? Paint will take you a week to master with just playing around. Photoshop will take you a few months to master after watching several YT videos, at least if you are as slow as me.
