About the chandy, I believe codes in most states require significant clearance between the top of the tub and the bottom of the light fixture. If you have very high ceilings, hanging it over the tub would be my vote.

I don't see either of those two locations for your chandelier. See examples of double vanities below and their light situation.

is there enough space in my vanity design to have 2 wall sconces, and room for mirror within each 30" sink cabinet? The sinks and faucets will be centered on the 30" base cabinet

You'd need room like this to accommodate pendant lights. Doesn't make sense to have light on only one side of your face.

C Martin, exactly. the chandelier is about a "centerpiece" for asthenics. think it would look very nice against a marble wall. have any pictures of your vanity?

If you can meet code, place it over the tub. Is the light 17" in diameter? Smaller or Larger?

If you have enough height you can use it as general lighting like below.

yeah the chandelier is 17". cannot go over tub though due to code (our ceiling is 9')
