Paint Design Dilemma

How to finish firepit

We built a small firepit in our yard. We’re not sure how to finish it. Mortar, Stucco, or Paint. What would look best?

Do you have stonework on or around your home? If so, mimic that look. It's difficult to see what may work with only one photo. Whatever you get, make sure that it can stand up to expansion and contraction due to variations in heat.

colorful tile? glass tile? ledger stone? pieces of granite? stucco? brick? lol,,,what do you like?

you could get some copper sheeting and do the top

ledger stone in slate/quartzite.

smooth it out w/cement overlay (dye the cement) , top with chiseled edging of thick slate or stone

mortar on some rocks

want colorful? do some ceramic or mexican tiles

tile your cement patio top too.
