Luxury Vinyl color—please advise!!

Hello. I would be most grateful for your design advice. I will be laying new flooring throughout the house. Wall color is SW agreeable gray. I had this laid as a test run and I’m not loving the color. Your thoughts? It was very inexpensive to do as I managed to get the materials for free. So I don’t have qualms about taking it out and starting with another color. Your thoughts on what color would look fantastic with agreeable gray.? Your thoughts about this color and if you don’t think it blends well what is throwing it off? Too much brown or too dark? Thank you!!!

It's fine. What is upsetting the eye is the GOLD in the floor. The brown and the greys are doing fine. The gold is causing some upset. Other than that it is fine.

I agree it’s not a great colour. The floor has a lot going on. I would go for something blonder but less gold

I like the floor...may hide some dirt/crumbs since it’s not a solid one color.. paint is the most inexpensive thing in a house to change go with the floor you like first then do the paint....

that's one of the few LVP wood look that I actually think looks good. why don't you get something on the walls w/a bit of color? some type of art or maybe put down a colorful throw rug? Paint the door? Paint the bifold doors? Tile the wall? do an accent color?

It's very bland even w/o the flooring. jazz it up

Thanks. It’s a laundry room. Not sure how to jazz it up. What color would I paint thr bifold doors?

I wouldn’t jazz it up. It’s a laundry room. It’s totally fine as is. I suggested you could do better on flooring as you said it was free and you were open to changing.

Well thanks AS. but OP is the one asking. If she thought it was fine, she wouldn't be here asking for options.

Cynthia, anything you like. You could do the doors in black, or charcoal, or any color. But if you like the color as is, then don't do anything. totally up to you. I like a bit of color, but that's me.

Do you like the flooring? If you don't, then put in a patterned tile or something w/a bit of color. the room is all white w/neutral walls. If you don't add a color or pattern, nothing will change.

    for instance, painting the doors

similar wall color to yours. try BM Wrought Iron

do you have any cabinets in there? paint those too

maybe add some wood or tile, or sconces, or a rug

they did a darker gray on all the door molding. maybe try it on the trim and the doors. go 2-3 shades darker than your wall paint.

lastly, bold floor tile, black trim on doors and windows, wood. Since you've already go the wood look floor, try painting the doors/trim black or charcoal. bring in some black and white art. maybe some shelving w/baskets.

Fair enough Beth. I was agreeing with Cynthia that it is just a laundry room. That’s all.
