Hi Houzz,

A major home renovation is currently in progress. I'm struggling a bit with how to arrange the laundry room layout. Please find the current layout below. We do not think what is currently depicted is the best use of space (this layout was just a placeholder).

I would really prefer keeping the side-by-side washer/dryer instead of a stacking unit if possible. The location of the window (full length) and door cannot change. The footprint of the room itself cannot change.

Note: a side-by-side W/D will not fit on the south wall alcove (immediately to the left upon entering room)

Regardless of what we end up doing, we will likely end up putting a table and/or rolling island in the middle of the room to provide an extra work station/counter space.
