I don’t understand the question since the one is not going to be a slip cover . I am not familiar with PB canvas but in my experience canvas stains very badly. Why not look at the indoor Sunbrella fabric .

Patricia, I'm sorry my question seemed confusing. To clarify, I planned to have a slip covered sectional made and my question was, would the Everydaysuede fabric even work as a slip cover or would the Performance Canvas be better.

My intention was to find a fabric that would be highly durable, but also look nice as a cover. I am not interested in the regular canvas, as I saw first hand that liquids and stains were much worse than those on the Performance Canvas, which I found to be very stain resistant in an experiment I did on some samples. The brushed and organic PB canvas fabrics are made of 100% cotton and the Performance Canvas is 100% Polyester. It is very soft as well. I went ahead and ordered my sofa with that fabric since I had heard that the suede just would not drape in the way I would like it to, especially in the skirt area.

As far as the Sunbrella fabric, we have two sofas in the other room that are also slip covered in the Premium Performance Basket weave (100% Solution Dyed Acrylic). It's like a PB version of the Sunbrella fabric, I was told in the store. It's a beautiful looking fabric, but pilling is a problem that needs a shaving, as well as the basket weave nature of the fabric lending itself to fraying in both seam and piping areas. We purposefully set out to avoid anything like that this go around.

I don’t have experience with the two fabric choices you listed but wanted to share my experience with the PB performance chunky basketweave in oatmeal for your reference. The fabric is 100% polypropylene and PB states it’s highly washable and can be clean with bleach. My PB sectional is 4 years old and we had our first incident tonight. My 3yo wasn’t feeling well and puked all of the dinner she had, one bowl of marinara pasta. She literally puked her entire dinner, poor girl. I am glad she is feeling better but the mess and the stain from the red sauce...I tried to clean with my previous Clorox wipes (in a midst of covid-19, Clorox wipes are very precious!!) and soap and baby wipes. Slightly better but not much. And since we haven’t taken off the cushion covers for wash (ours is upholstered) because we have been very careful and we don’t eat or drink on it so we never had any stain until tonight, I decided it’s time for its first wash. I took off all the covers and put them in washer in delicate cycle with cold water, regular detergent and hexol (disinfectant and deodorizer) follow by tumble dry low. The moment I took them out of dryer, I was so happy that I chose this fabric! The sectional looks like new! Before I picked out my fabric, I took all the possible samples home and did a test with typical food/drink that would stain fabric (chocolate, peanut butter, red wine, soy sauce, etc) and I tried to clean those stains with soap and rubbed them against with clean cloth. Lots of fabric had piling issues and some couldn’t get any stains out. The fabric I chose performed the best so I chose it over the other natural fabric which I wanted originally for the softness. But at the end, I picked this synthetic fabric over the natural fabric for its washability and tonight proved that it is quite washable! And we don’t have any piling issue either. The only cons is that this is synthetic fabric so it’s not as soft to touch as natural fabric, and at the time of my purchase, this fabric was only available in oatmeal, I would have want it in white or light gray. Looks like PB has discontinued this material now. Here’s a picture I took after I washed the covers. Good luck!
